More about the release

On January 20, 2017, the day of the first inauguration, I began documenting the gradual decay of an orange I carved into the likeness of Donald Trump. Over the course of 100 days, I photographed the same orange daily as it changed, shifting from bright and vibrant to something increasingly grotesque, and unrecognizable.

From the moment the orange was carved, it began to rot. Through this process, I wanted to reflect on the absurdity, corruption, and fragility of power, and how all structures are subject to decay, democracy included. In that sense the project was a study in time, transformation, and the inevitable breakdown of all things.

By the end of the 100 days, the orange had transformed into a sad state, kind of a fitting visual metaphor for erosion, not just of fruit but of ideals and systems. Originally posted daily on Instagram, the series became a time capsule reflecting on a time we briefly though we left behind.

I have a few physical posters left, but shipping is quite expensive, never mind the tariffs. So here's a free download to enjoy and print yourself.

A2 sized, full color, print ready.

If you'd like to get a copy of the other poster, get in touch.

Just when I thought we were out, he's back in! And sequels tend to be worse... In 2017, starting on inauguration day, I documented the natural decay of a Trump-shaped orange over 100 days, mirroring the corruption and absurdity of power. Earlier 35 frames were available as a physical poster. Now a reduced size one as a free download. Tariff that!
